Primary Therapist

Yesennia Villa is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping individuals and families heal and grow through evidence-based care. Her clinical journey began at a group home for at-risk youth, where she saw firsthand the transformative power of mental health support. Since 2021, Yesennia has worked exclusively with veterans navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, strengthening her expertise in trauma and crisis intervention.Yesennia utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – Trauma Focused (CBT-TF), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) dependent on the client’s needs. Yesennia is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also has experience working with clients presenting with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).Yesennia earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University and her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is committed to providing culturally attuned, individualized care while continually expanding her therapeutic expertise.
