Disneyland Park is where you can experience classic rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain, as well as newer attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Avengers Campus. Disney California Adventure Park is where you can explore Pixar-themed lands like Cars Land, Toy Story Land, and Pixar Pier, as well as thrilling rides like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, Incredicoaster, and Soarin’ Around the World. You can also enjoy parades, shows, fireworks, and character meet-and-greets at both parks. To visit both parks, you need to purchase a Park Hopper ticket, which allows you to switch between them on the same day.
Another popular attraction in Orange County is Knott’s Berry Farm, a theme park that started as a berry farm and a roadside stand in the 1920s. Next to Knott’s Berry Farm is Knott’s Soak City Water Park, where you can cool off with water slides, wave pools, and lazy rivers. You can also shop and dine at Knott’s California Marketplace, which features shops, restaurants, and bakeries that sell Knott’s famous jams, preserves, and pies.

You can visit Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, a scenic park that offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the rocky coastline. You can also walk along the beach, enjoy a picnic, or visit the nearby Laguna Art Museum. Another option is to hike the Redwood Grove Trail in Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, where you can see a rare grove of coastal redwoods that were planted in the 1970s. The trail is about 1.1 miles long and easy to follow. You can also explore other trails in the park that lead to a lake, a creek, and a butterfly garden.
Orange County is also rich in history and culture, and you can learn more about it by visiting some of the museums and historic sites in the area. One of them is Mission San Juan Capistrano, a Spanish mission that was founded in 1776 by Father Junipero Serra. The mission is known for its beautiful architecture, gardens, and artifacts, as well as for being the home of the famous swallows that return every year on March 19th. You can also see the ruins of the Great Stone Church, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1812.
